The minimum height or thickness is 16mm and the maximum is 42mm. Pile height is a term that refers to the length of individual tufted grass strands which compose the artificial turf. Grass weight, or grammes per metre square, relates to how many strands there are in a square meter but also takes account of the height. So you will generally see a higher number for this on longer, higher quality artificial grasses. Artificial grass allows you to set your lawn’s pile height and pile depth rather than have it determined by a lawnmower. Lawnmowers tend to do an uneven job and can leave unsightly patches.
